Best ribeye I've cooked at home. Tasted the difference instantly — kids actually finished their plates.

Showed up frozen solid, packed beautifully, every cut labeled. A real farm — not a marketing operation.

Toured the farm before we ordered. What you see is what shows up at your door. Worth every dollar.

Cooking notes

Grass-finished cuts cook faster than grain-finished. Drop your usual temp by 25°F and pull a few minutes earlier.

What's behind every cut.

Fill your freezer with regeneratively raised, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Etta Hills Farm.

Choose a quarter, half, or whole beef share based on your household size, freezer space, and preferred level of customization. Every option has a fixed total price, so you will know your complete cost before reserving your share.

The price collected online is a reservation deposit. Your deposit is credited in full toward the fixed total price, and the remaining balance is due before pickup or delivery.

Choose Your Beef Share

¼ Beef Share — $1,495 Fixed Total

  • Approximately 100–120 pounds of packaged beef

  • Standardized, balanced selection

  • Not individually customizable

A quarter share typically includes approximately:

  • 45–60 pounds of ground beef

  • 20–30 pounds of steaks

  • 20–30 pounds of roasts and slow-cooking cuts

  • 5–15 pounds of stew meat, ribs, and other available cuts

Quarter shares are divided into balanced assortments so each customer receives a fair selection from across the animal. Exact cuts, quantities, and packaged weight will vary naturally.

½ Beef Share — $2,895 Fixed Total

  • Approximately 200–240 pounds of packaged beef

  • Customized cutting and packaging instructions

A half beef offers a wide selection of steaks, roasts, ground beef, brisket, ribs, stew meat, and other available cuts. After your reservation is placed, Etta Hills Farm will contact you to complete your cutting instructions.

Whole Beef Share — $5,595 Fixed Total

  • Approximately 400–480 pounds of packaged beef

  • Customized cutting and packaging instructions

  • Best bulk value

A whole share provides the complete harvest from one beef animal. It is ideal for large families, multiple households purchasing together, or customers wanting a substantial year-round beef supply.

Half and Whole Share Customization

Half and whole shares may be customized by:

  • Steak and roast selection

  • Bone-in or boneless preference

  • Steak thickness

  • Number of steaks per package

  • Preferred roast weight

  • Ground-beef package weight

  • Amount converted into ground beef

  • Brisket, rib, stew-meat, and slow-cooking preferences

  • Inclusion of available bones, fat, liver, heart, tongue, and other specialty items

All customization is subject to the natural cuts and yield available from the animal and the processor’s capabilities. Certain choices require natural tradeoffs. For example, selecting T-bones and porterhouses replaces separate New York strip and tenderloin steaks.

Important Reservation Information

Estimated take-home weights are provided for planning purposes. Actual packaged weight and individual cut quantities will vary according to animal size, natural processing yield, and cutting preferences. Choosing more boneless cuts or increasing the amount of ground beef may change the packaged weight without changing the fixed share price.

Farm pickup is included. Delivery may be available for an additional charge.

Our Farming practices

Regeneratively focused

Regeneratively focused

Strategic, rotational grazing rebuilds Mississippi soil season by season. No synthetic fertilizer, no herbicides, no shortcuts — the livestock do the soil work, the soil grows the food.

Humanely raised

Humanely raised

Animals live the way animals should — on pasture, in family groups, with room to express natural behavior. Low-stress handling from birth through harvest, every time.

No growth promotants

No growth promotants

No hormones, no steroids, no growth-pushing additives. Livestock finish at their own pace on grass — taking longer to raise, putting better food on your table.

Questions about
this cut.

Can't find your answer? Reach us directly at (662) 351-3882 or info@ettahillsfarm.com — we'll get back the same day.

You buy a portion of a single animal raised on our farm — a quarter, half, or whole. We send it to the USDA processor, you tell us how you want it cut (the cut sheet), and we deliver it to you fully butchered, vacuum-sealed, frozen, and labeled. It's how Americans bought beef for most of the country's history, and it's still the best deal per pound on truly grass-finished meat.

How much meat will I get?

  • Quarter share: roughly 80–100 lbs of vacuum-sealed cuts (steaks, roasts, ground beef, ribs, organs if you want them)
  • Half share: roughly 160–200 lbs
  • Whole: roughly 320–400 lbs
  • Quarter: ~4 cubic feet (about half of a small chest freezer)
  • Half: ~8 cubic feet (a full small chest freezer, or half of a mid-size)
  • Whole: ~16 cubic feet (a dedicated chest freezer)

Most families who buy their first share find that a $200–300 standalone chest freezer pays for itself inside that share alone.

Yes, and it's the fun part. The cut sheet tells the processor how you want your animal butchered: steak thickness, ground beef package size, whether to leave roasts whole or cut them, whether you want bones, organs, soup bones, and tallow. We walk you through it after you order and you can defer to our default recommendations if you don't want to make every call.

Yes — the gate's open. We're at 90 Co Rd 253, Etta, MS 38627, about an hour southeast of Memphis. Tours run on a regular schedule and are open to anyone curious about how the meat in their freezer actually gets raised. Book a tour at /pages/visit-the-farm.

We tested it. Higher in omega-3s, vitamin E, and beta-carotene than the supermarket alternative. Most farms market it. We measured it.

No hormones, ever. We don't use prophylactic antibiotics either — meaning we don't dose the herd or flock as a routine practice. If an individual animal gets genuinely sick and needs antibiotics to recover, we treat it; that animal then gets pulled from our program and is not sold as Etta Hills meat. This is the honest answer; "never ever" claims usually aren't.
